Working @ Height Regulations 2005
These regulations came into effect in the spring of 2005, and replaced all existing regulations.
The regulations stipulate that any person working at height must be trained & competent in the use of work at height equipment.
Companies must now also have a rescue plan and staff must be fully trained in the use of this type of equipment.
Ridgegear’s Training courses are designed with the regulations in mind, so that the delegates are armed with the required knowledge to do their job in the safest possible manner.
Whether you are a Scaffolder, a roofer, a steel erector, or if you work using access platforms and towers, Ridgegear have a training course that can be tailor made for your individual requirements.
Ridgegear Height Safety Training has a purpose built scaffold tower at our premises in Leek, Staffordshire, where the use of Inertia reel blocks, ladder ascent & descent products, rescue systems and standard height safety equipment are available for delegate training and “hands on” use.
Training on actual use of products is permitted only after an initial classroom based courses has been completed to ensure that all delegates have an appreciation of working at height and its associated dangers.
